We had a beautiful picnic in the back garden, which started with fizzy in P's new champagne glasses, which he liked. (I said I had my eye on a pair.) He liked his T'shirt, too. We had fresh pineapple and grapes, freshly baked bread with butter and cream cheese, cornish wafers, carrot sticks, pringles and salsa, bourbon biscuits, a pudding (that's my best description of it), strawberries and finally a Monster Desert. Monster Desert involves taking a large bowl each with brownies in the bottom, a couple of scoops of ice cream, Malteasers and marshmallows on top, followed by chocolate fudge sauce and then more ice cream with squirty cream on top, then more Malteasers, more sauce and finally wafers. If you're feeling extravagant, you can grate some dark chocolate on top. We had a lovely, relaxed time, just what we needed. Simon spilt water all over our bed, so we moved to the sofa bed for the night. This gave us a good change of scenery and a music system, making for an all-round romantic night
